Terms of Service for Voice Sample Replication and Personalized Storybook Creation.

Welcome to StoryReader! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services, which involve replicating voices to create personalized audio storybooks for children. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Service Description

We offer a service that allows clients to replicate their voices or the voices of others (with permission) to create personalized audio storybooks.

2. Client Responsibilities By using our services, you represent and warrant that:

  • Ownership of Content: You either own the copyrighted books for which we are creating personalized audiobooks or intend to purchase them before we deliver your audiobook.

  • Fair Use Compliance: You attest that your use of our service complies with fair use and that the personalized storybooks created through our service are for personal use only.

  • Permission to Replicate: You also attest that you have the necessary permissions to replicate the voice provided for the storybook.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Replication Ownership: The client agrees to share copyright of the replicated voice sample with StoryReader and Vloggi, the service use for uploading and managing our voice sample content. This shared ownership extends only to the use of such samples for the narration of StoryReader audiobooks purchased by the client from StoryReader and cannot be other wise shared or used.

  • Book Content Ownership: The client acknowledges that the storybooks they select from our catalog of available books may be subject to copyright, and the client affirms that they will use our audiobooks only for personal, non-commercial purposes.

  • Company Rights: All rights to the technologies, systems, and processes used to provide our services remain the property of StoryReader.org.

4. Usage Restrictions

  • Personal Use Only: Our voice replication services are intended for personal use only. Clients agree not to distribute, sell, or otherwise commercially exploit the personalized storybooks created through our service.

  • Prohibited Uses: Clients are prohibited from using our service to infringe on the copyrights of third-party authors or publishers, or for any unlawful purpose.

5. Copyright Compliance and Fair Use

  • Attestation of Ownership or Purchase: Clients must attest that they either own or have legally purchased the book content for which the audio storybook is being created. StoryReader is not liable for any copyright infringement or misuse of book content provided by clients.

  • Fair Use Policy: Clients must ensure that their use of the replicated storybook content falls under the fair use doctrine, which allows limited use for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes.

6. Privacy

Privacy: Any personal data, including voice recordings submitted for replication, will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not share, sell, or distribute your voice data without your explicit consent.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StoryReader, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: Any breach of these Terms; The use of any copyrighted materials without proper authorization; The misuse of voice replication for unlawful purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

StoryReader makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy or completeness of the personalized storybooks created using our services. We are not responsible for any legal consequences arising from the misuse of copyrighted content.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall StoryReady be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services if we suspect a violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

11. Amendments

StoryReader reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be communicated through our website, and continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law & Contact Information
